  • A turn is six seconds long, so there will be ten turns in a minute.
  • Multiple opponents in melee: Every even attacker on the same target gets one free raise. Spears and polearms allow four attackers more on one target, so the eighth attacker gets four free raises.
    If not otherwise noted, unarmed attacks are not melee attacks – so the bushi aren’t generally allowed to make two attacks unarmed; only monks and some selected others.
  • Any abilities, techniques, spells, kata, etc. concerning combat movement may be altered, as we don’t play tactical.
  • Surprise and Ambush are handled individually: Everyone who is surprised and has an initiative 15+ lower than the nearest enemy in the sequence is forced to start the skirmish in attack stance.
